A clinical procedure for treating neuropathy in diabetics has been gaining success over the last eight to 10 years. In the St. Louis area, Dr. Robert Hagan, a plastic surgeon is performing peripheral nerve surgery to decompress nerves in diabetics on an outpatient basis at St. John's Mercy Medical Center, St. Luke's Hospital and Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
